This is a post-modern urban block in brand new suburban settlement still under construction, called Barkarby City. The settlement is located in Järfälla municipality, Stockholm region.
The urban block is defined by Stora torget, Barkarbyvägen, Karlslundsvägen, and Gripengatan. It is a large urban block with a continuous urban solid mass formed by spatially connected 5 - 8 storey blocks of flats. There is only one semi-private full opening into the inner courtyard of the urban block, that is situated where Gripengatan meets Stora torget. The latter is the central square of Barkarby City. All other openings are private entrances with security codes, to the blocks of flats, from the bounding roads. The inner courtyard with car parking underneath, is very well designed and furnished.
