Believing In God Is Progressive And Scientific

Ask rich, famous, educated, and politically powerful persons, or others that belong to the upper social class, if they believe in God, and the answer by many of them may be bluntly: "of course not". For instance, recently some media sources published names of numerous wealthy people including celebrities who have declared publicly that they do not believe in God. Some of them may, however, not mean it, but may be afraid of losing their respect among the other members of a social class that is increasingly becoming non-believers of God. Some of them who really mean it, may have been staunch believers of God and prayed regularly for help from him before they managed to climb to the top of the social ladder! So why do successful people defy God through whom their success could have accrued? We think the answer is founded in the way some of those in the upper class perceive the notion of believe in God. They perceive believe in God as regressive and unscientific. One can see a growing association by some of these people, of many Satan influenced or immoral ways of life and attitudes, with modernity and progressivism. So when those who believe in God refuse to embrace obvious immoral ways of life, they will be branded immediately by non-believers of God, as being non-progressive or regressive and even unscientific. But the crux of the matter is, they are non-believers of God who are regressive. That is because, most of what they perceive as representing progressive ways of life and attitudes, have been witnessed before as major social characteristics of society, even before Christ! Most holy books present historical narratives and anecdotes about that very clearly. Non-believers of God are also unscientific in the sense that while they have so far been unable to provide credible and convincing evidence in support of their scientific model about the origin of life on earth, they have simply rushed to dismissing the spiritual model or God linkage theory that is supported by comparatively stronger historical and documentary evidence. Believing in God is therefore progressive and scientific, and indeed, the surest way to sustained personal success.
