Occasional Sunday Articles. Article No. SPS004. Both God And Satan Guide Us. Big Challenge To Decisi
Paradoxically, both God and Satan provide guidance to us. That is where hesitation comes from! When you are close to God, his guidance is often clear, but not always. That is because Satan is very ruthless and resolute to have contact with everyone in the world so that he gives misleading, destructive, and evil guidance. Although Satan's capability of doing that with those who are close to God is very limited, he can, however, succeed sometimes, because he never gives up trying. The perpetual attempts of Satan to get in touch with those close to God is similar to making a call to a phone that is always engaged. Sometimes with luck, you can get through when it has just been hanged up! When that happens, affected people who are close to God, get confused in decision making because while God may have sent some guidance, one suddenly gets at the same time, some contradicting guidance that is quite sophisticated from Satan. The confusion is about knowing which guidance is right, i.e., which is from God, and which is from Satan, because both types of guidance may be quite convincing and tempting due to the manipulative nature of Satan! Hesitation may then ensue, especially with smart people. It may be wise to wait in making final decisions under the above circumstances. If you become patient, God will finally make his guidance clearly overriding against that of Satan! It is very true that good things often go to those who wait! Instinctive hesitation should therefore be taken very seriously. God and Satan communicate and guide us through such instincts, as well as unique dreams. As such, not all hesitations are outcomes of personal weaknesses like laziness, mental issues, over-analysis of issues, lack of confidence, indecisiveness, etc, as advocated in many quarters, particularly psychological and managerial quarters. When a person close to God falls into Satan's trap, he or she may not be aware of what has happened! But other people, e.g. friends, relatives, colleagues, etc., may notice the incident as what will often be referred to as awkward or unexpected decision/action/behavior by that person. The third party observation may look as thus. Suddenly: 1) A person who never took or enjoy excessive alcohol, will begin doing so with great pride and excitement, or 2) A person who never used cocaine and other drugs will start using the substances, or 3) A faithful married person will start enjoying committing adultery for the first time, etc Such decisions by people who are close to God, that portray drastic shift from the things they usually do, are clear evidence that they have been infiltrated by Satan!
