Happiness is probably the most important aspect of a successful personal life. All other aspects of life including material and career milestones are subsidiary. Material and career milestones can, however, render the search for happiness easier, if one understands what successful personal life implies and the possible options towards happiness. Therefore, material an...d career milestones become important only when they enable one to find happiness.

As such, if one is unable to transform material and career achievements into happiness, then the two aspects become almost meaningless in terms of personal success! Unhappy people feel almost the same whether one is rich or poor. In fact, an unhappy rich person may feel even worse because he/she may well know that he/she should have been happy given his/her material wealth advantage!
