Occasional Sunday Articles. Article No. SPS001: Some Problems Are Spiritual

Once in Sheffield, England, an aspiring priest in an independent Christian Church, gave what we consider now to be a masterpiece spiritual statement. That, if one has done everything he/she can to resolve a problem, and yet the problem continues to persist and even gets severe, then the problem is spiritual. We bluntly didn't agree with the statement then, so the aspiring priest had no opportunity to continue further with the discussion or elaboration of the statement. However, more than a decade later, we now totally agree with the priesthood aspirant! Our new position is a result of more understanding about: God, and the role of Satan in our lives. Some problems we experience in our lives are a result of our closeness to Satan, and distancing from God. Such problems are spiritual and can only be resolved through distancing ourselves from Satan, and getting closer to God. There are various ways of doing that, the main of which include reorganizing our lives, and praying to God for help. The reverse process may take time, but will be accomplished finally. We presume that is what the aspiring priest wanted to say if we had listened!
